End to End Process
When starting a project, I first look at what exactly the learner needs to do. Companies struggle with managing employee stress levels even though there are simple ways to reduce stress in the workplace. After meeting with an HR representative on common stressors, doing my own research, and speaking with a mental health specialist on ways to reduce stress, I began my rough sketch idea for the project. This iteration allows me to brainstorm and get creative with the way the course will be laid out.
Next I begin the visual design and layout phase. Using tools such as Adobe XD and Illustrator, I create the setting and characters as well as decide on color schemes and design layout that will fit the purpose of the course. This is when I take branding and company standards into consideration.
Once the visual design is settled and approved, I begin the storyboarding process. In this case, I used Google Workspace to compile the ideas and create the pathways for my course. This part of the process is when I consider which design strategies or theories should come into play and how I will ensure the objectives of the course are met.
Last comes fully developing and publishing the course. I begin building a working prototype while the storyboard is in review. When the storyboard is finalized, I add all the details and interactions to complete the course.
